Mother’s Day Out- School year 2018-2019 starts August 21st 2018, and is a ministry of the first United Methodist Church of Whitesboro.  Our mission is to help children learn and grow through developmentally appropriate, play-based experiences so they may develop spiritual, physically, mentally and socially. We strive to prepare children socially and academically for their transition into kindergarten and beyond. This program is available for preschoolers as well as younger children.

Mother’s Day Out offers:

A two-day (Tuesday and Thursday) program, August through May for children ages 1 through 5 years.

Classes from 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Drop off begins at 8:20 a.m. and classes start at 8:30 a.m.

The Objectives of our ministry are:

  • To provide a safe and loving environment while providing  quality care and

 Instruction in a Christian environment.

  • To help children see themselves as unique persons of worth.
  • To experience positive relationships with peers and adults in a classroom setting.
  • To introduce age appropriate levels of basic learning skills.
  • To aid children in learning to appreciate, understand and live in God’s World.
  • To build good physical skills-both fine and gross motor coordination. As well as social skills.
  • To teach children to manage themselves, their materials, and their daily routine.
  • To provide an atmosphere of trust which enables the child to develop a trust in God.
  • To show Jesus love to each child by our actions of love, guidance and acceptance.
  • To help your children learn to develop friendships.

Your children will participate in:  chapel, art, circle time, music, outdoor time, missions, story time and dress-up. Our older class will be working on handwriting skills in addition to their regular curriculum. The younger classes will have their own curriculum as well.

The ratio will be kept small to allow more one on one time.

All of our teachers will be CPR and First Aid trained. Teachers will also participate in teacher workshops throughout the year to provide your children with age appropriate curriculum. There will be a letter, number, shape, animal, color, and bible verse for each unit. Our units last for 3 weeks at a time. We find that repetition is the key for retaining the information.

Rates:

Tuition is paid, monthly, August through May. Pricing as follows:

$170 a month to be paid on the first Thursday of every month.

  • IF you pay for either the whole year up front or a half of a year up front you will be given a 5% discount.

  • The month of August price will be $170 but since we will only have classes for 2 weeks you will not pay for September.
